A Trip to London
Last summer, my family and I went on an exciting trip to London. We stayed there for five days. London is a big city with many famous sights.
On the first day, we visited the Tower of London. It is an old castle where kings and queens lived long ago. We saw the Crown Jewels – they were shiny and beautiful! The weather was sunny, but a little cold.
The next day, we took the Underground to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Big Ben is a huge clock tower. It rings every hour. There were many tourists taking photos. In the evening, we had fish and chips – a traditional British meal. It was delicious!
On day three, we went to Buckingham Palace. We watched the Changing of the Guard. The soldiers in red uniforms marched with music. It was impressive. After that, we walked in Hyde Park and saw people having picnics.
Our last day was rainy. We visited the British Museum. It has mummies from Egypt and statues from Greece. We learned a lot about history.
London was amazing! I want to go back someday.
